About Species

Charmyx are a diverse, humanoid species created by a slumbering god to protect the world they inhabit, and the creatures who they share it with. They are very inclined to comfort others, since it is one of their main purposes in life. Charmyx often tend to act as an aid to dying creatures, in their final moments, to help them peacefully pass on to the afterlife. These humanoid creatures inhabit an island known as Terrast. This island is full of natural resources, and an abundance of flora and fauna. Charmyx have been protecting Terrast from outside forces for centuries, and will continue to do so until the world is no more, and they must seek a new home. To retain their humanoid forms, Charmyx must consume something known as "cosmic energy"; A starry, flame-like substance that is the life force of all Charmyx. Without cosmic energy, these creatures will eventually return to their stellar form, and die. As a way to keep as much energy as possible during periods of resting, Charmyx will transform into their "low-power form", more colloquially known as Charmies.
